Family Photographer in Somerset

After taking some business headshots for Vic, she invited me back to her home a few months later for a family portrait shoot with her husband, two children and their dog.  They live in the City of Bath and their large sunny garden was an ideal place for the shoot.  We took a walk around the grounds stopping at ideal spots for some images and made sure we covered a range of set ups, pairings and groups but in a very relaxed and natural way.  I really think being in their own home environment helped them all to fully relax and I’m pleased with the way the shots came out.  The images are a gentle and sensitive documentation of Vic and her family as they were during the summer of 2018.  There’s no doubt they’ll look a little different next summer and the one after that because, as every parent knows, kids grow and change before your eyes and time passes by so quickly.  I say this often but it’s so important to capture family life as it is today, you’ll be so grateful you did in years to come.  You can’t pause time, it flows continually like a river, but you can grasp moments of it on camera here and there… and the more time flows, the more precious those little moments become.  I do a lot of family portrait shoots with all different age groups, mainly around Bath and Bristol but I also travel further out around the South West from my base in Bradford-on-Avon.  If you are interested in having a family portrait shoot for your family and would like a copy of my brochure, please do get in touch.  Portrait shoots can also be purchased as gift vouchers for others.  Anyway, I really enjoyed this shoot with Vic’s family and a few of my favourites from that day are below:
