Modern Wedding Photography, Bath

Lucy and Nick are a lovely couple from Bath who asked me to be their wedding photographer for their wedding at St Stephen’s Church and The Assembly Rooms – two iconic and prestigious venues in this wonderful historic city so, of course, I said yes!  The day was a success, full of laughter and fun.  The golden backdrop of the ornate church really added to the atmosphere of the ceremony and Revd Hawthorn did a great job in making everyone feel relaxed and welcome.  Lucy and Nick looked so happy during the ceremony and left the church to some very enthusiastic confetti throwing by Lucy’s mum (see pics below!) then went on to the The Royal Crescent for some photographs before joining their friends and family at The Assembly Rooms for their wedding reception.  I look forward to the speeches at every wedding I shoot and this one was no exception and didn’t disappoint!  Out came a large poster of Nick dressed is some every strange attire – a children’s hat completing his outfit nicely.  The first dance made me laugh so much I almost forgot to take the photos, after a traditional start to a Phil Collins track there was what i can only describe as a ‘wedding party flash mob’ doing a slow motion chicken dance, joining in one by one in the middle of the dance floor!  May you have a long and happy marriage together Lucy and Nick (full of slow-mo chicken dances!).

There’s a few of my favourite shot from the day below:

I photographed Lucy and Nick’s wedding in the City of Bath and offer relaxed and modern wedding photography in Bath, Bristol and the surrounding areas of the South West.  To see more of the my work you can view my wedding portfolio or visit my blog.
