I was very happy to be chosen by Jess and Scott as their Wedding Photographer for their tipi wedding near Marlborough. This was to be a large autumn wedding with a church ceremony followed by tipi reception set in the grounds of Jess’ family home. At our first meeting Jess excitedly told me of their wedding plans which included free range wallabies, home made dreamcatchers, possibly some peacocks, takeaway vans and a bubble blowing church ceremony exit. All the elements needed for a fantastic wedding and one I was sure would produce some great images! I met up with a nervous looking Scott at the church and it wasn’t long before Jess, her bridesmaids and flower girls all arrived. Emotions always run high right before a wedding ceremony begins and Jess shed a few tears but seeing Scott at the end of the aisle was a great support to her no doubt. After the church we took a little drive to capture some images of Jess and Scott alone at a rural location nearby before they joined their guests at the tipi wedding reception. A mixture of bright sunshine and heavy rain punctuated their day but didn’t put a dampener on the celebrations with guests getting cosy around the tipi campfire toasting marshmallows. A lovely wedding cake, an array of flavoured doughnuts and a pizza van tempted guests in the evening; the calories of which were soon burnt off as many guests took to the dancefloor to party the night away. Jess and Scott thank you for inviting me to be a part of your special day, wishing you every happiness in your marriage together and best of luck on your journey into parenthood!
