Anna and Chris were married this summer at The Moonraker Hotel near Bradford-on-Avon in Wiltshire and I was delighted to be hired as the wedding photographer for their special day.  That morning I caught the last of Anna’s bridal preparations along with her mum, sister and other family members.  Anna’s a teacher so of course, she was very organised, calm and ready ahead of time.  She looked stunning in a pretty tea length 50s style dress that really suited her.  As the whole day was happening at the same location I popped over to the ceremony room and found Chris and his groomsmen, more nerves there perhaps but he was keeping it together well.  The ceremony was lovely with readings from friends and family and Anna and Chris looked very happy and totally in love.  After some fun with confetti and a small selection of group shots the mariachi band arrived.  I’ve seen lots of different musical entertainment at weddings but I have to say this one was up there as one of my favourites.  They were such characters, guests really enjoyed watching them and the music was excellent.  Anna, Chris and I escaped for a short while to the pretty walled garden for their couples photographs.  It was a very hot day but we managed to find some shade and the carefully shot images came out great as you’ll see below.  After a meal in the marquee it was time for the speeches – very entertaining, lots of laughs and a few embarrassing stories from years gone by.  I stayed quite late to capture the first dance and part of the disco then left everyone bopping away having a great time.  Anna and Chris – Huge congratulations to you both, you make a wonderful couple and I wish you many years of happiness ahead.
