Wedding Photography at Kingscote Barn, Gloucestershire

In April Helen and Laurence married at Kingscote Barn in Gloucestershire.  The day started with Helen, her mum and three bridesmaids all getting ready in two bedrooms whilst Helen’s father found a space on the floor next to the bed to write his speech (although he insists it was already written and he as just tidying it up).  After a panic about forgotten cufflinks, a card with a monkey face on it and much hairspray the two young flower girls arrived which signified it was nearly time!  Helen looked beautiful in her dress and managed to keep her cool walking down the isle with her father.  The ceremony was lovely with two readings by friends and a few tears amongst guests before the celebrations began.  Kingscote Barn is in a wonderful setting with a good size garden where guests played outdoor games whilst the drinks flowed.  Younger guests had bubbles to entertain them which were soon forgotten about once they found a rabbit in a trap (…and saved its life I hasten to add.)  One of the things that made this wedding extra special was the involvement of family and friends.  Helen took a lot of time in the planning of the beautiful details to the theme of Peter Rabbit and the Beatrix Potter books  and friends and family contributed to the day by helping with the flowers, collecting the pretty china on which the english afternoon tea was served and sewing fabric heart decorations to adorn the tables.  The bride and groom looked so very happy and in love throughout the day which was great to see.  Then for the speeches, they were real tearjerkers, I found myself welling up then looked around the room to find majority of the guests actually crying!  As night fell there were some amazing shapes being thrown on the dancefloor and a delicious pig roast.  All in all a wonderful day.  Many congratulations to Helen and Laurence  x
