Chloe got in touch with me to ask if she could purchase a Family Photoshoot for her mother’s birthday.  Three generations of the family were meeting at her mother’s house for Sunday lunch, a total of 7 adults and 5 children and I arrived that morning to photograph the chaos!  The house and garden were an ideal location for the shoot and provided a variety of backgrounds and light levels so I photographed many different combinations of family members both inside and outside of the house.  The gorgeous full sunshine we had that day meant I was careful to position the family without making them squint, no one can smile naturally with the sun directly in their eyes.  Out came the beautiful classic cars too which the children enjoyed sitting in as a treat.  They were very well behaved and fairly keen to have their photographs taken which always helps so we ended up with a large gallery of images giving the family plenty to choose from.  I usually offer shoots in various outdoor locations around Bath and Bristol but sometimes it’s really nice to keep things personal and shoot at a client’s home, it certainly puts the children more at ease being in an environment they are so used to.  Anyway, a super birthday gift for Jenny and images I’m sure she will treasure forever.  She’s a lucky lady to have so many wonderful grandchildren.  Here’s a few of my favourites from that day…
